- Hardiness Zones: They are incredibly tough and cold-hardy, thriving beautifully in USDA Hardiness Zones 3 through 8.
- Sun & Water: They demand full sun and have very low water needs. They absolutely love hot, dry, sunny spots.
- Soil Requirements: The absolute most critical factor is very well-drained, gritty, or poor-to-average quality soil. Heavy clay that holds onto winter moisture is the primary enemy of Sempervivum, as it can cause the roots to rot.
- Low Maintenance: Once established, they require almost zero attention.
- Critter Resistant: They are completely deer and rabbit resistant.

Because these are shipped bare root directly from the grower, they skip the "pot shock" phase and are eager to anchor their roots directly into your native soil. They are exceptionally striking when massed in the cracks and crevices of stone walls, rock gardens, gravel walkways, or borders.
- Preparation: Simply scratch up your gritty, well-draining soil.
- Planting: Tuck the bare roots into the soil, pressing firmly around the base of the 5-inch rosette so it sits flush with the surface.
- Establishment: Give them a very light drink to settle the soil and then step back and let the sunshine do the rest!

- Shipping: All of our quality grower-direct plants are shipped straight to your location via UPS and FedEx only within the 48 continental states. We do not have a storefront or customer pickup available, which keeps our plants safe from extra handling!
- Minimums: While this package perfectly covers your needs with 25 bare root plants, keep in mind for future projects that our nursery ordering minimums are (1) full flat (ranging from 10 to 72 counts depending on the variety) or (4) individual one-gallon pots.
