At Bloomin Designs, we focus on a "wholesale to the public" model. This means we sell our plants in specific minimums:
- For flats: We sell by the full tray (ranging from 10 to 72 plants).
- For pots: We have a minimum of (4) one-gallon pots.
We do this to give you the best possible price. Selling in these quantities allows us to ship directly from the grower to your door at a great value.
Shipping is another reason for our minimums. Plants travel much safer when they are snug in a full flat or a sturdy 4-pack box. This prevents them from tossing and turning during their trip via UPS or FedEx.
Pros of buying a full flat:
- Instant Impact: You can finish a "mass planting" project all at once.
- Best Price: You get a much lower price per plant than at a local garden center.
- Consistent Growth: All your plants will be the same age and size.
Neighborly Alternatives: If a full flat feels like too many, here are a few ideas:
- Split with a neighbor: Many of our customers share a tray with a friend.
- Fill the gaps: Use extra plants to fill in bare spots in other parts of your yard.
- Gift them: Perennials make wonderful gifts for fellow gardeners!
