Hi,
Spacing is typically 6 to 12 inches apart, depending on conditions and how fast you want it to fill in. 'Elfin' grows 1-3 inches high and usually spreads 1 to 1.5 feet. Thymus serpyllum 'Elfin' is easily grown in average, dry to medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun. Best grown in sandy loam or rocky soils with good drainage. Tolerates drought once established and performs poorly in moist to wet soils where rot may develop.
